How many times has someone moved your cheese, vegan or other kind? What does that mean? When I worked in the corporate business world, the book "Who Moved My Cheese" by Spencer Johnson and Kenneth Blanchard was introduced to me. Changes were happening and this book was given to me to help me understand that change is always constant, even with the best made plans. The authors use a parable with mice searching for cheese in a big maze.
In the entrepreneurial world I experience now, I have control of some change but have learned quickly how others decisions for change can effect my business in ways I can't control. I have had to refer back to the book several times as an entrepreneur to encourage me to move through the maze of change for new cheese.
Each time, I have discovered a labyrinth of pathways to explore for Jenskin Studios including endless circles and dead ends but also ones that lead towards finding the most delicious and fulfilling cheese.
For the third time in 5 years, the cheese for Jenskin Studios has been moved due to decisions made by another, creating an elaborate game of seeking and searching for a new location. Sometimes I ask myself is it worth searching for the new cheese or should I just stop playing the game? Then, I think about the purpose of it all, YOU, the WHY, and I set out again.
I can't wait to soon reveal the new beautiful location for Jenskin Studios. Who knows how long the pile of cheese will be around to sustain it. Change is constant and I'm committed to the studio and its future.
This Blog is dedicated to my cousin Rachel R. who has been telling me to get my writing out there for as long as I can remember. Here ya go Rach! Love ya.
